The kitchen is fully equipped with modern conveniences, including a Quooker for boiling water and a cozy coffee corner with a Nespresso machine – ideal for a relaxing morning with a cup of coffee while overlooking the water.

For the active vacationer, there is plenty to do in the area. In winter you can ski (ski resort is a 7-minute drive away), take a snowmobile ride or even take a husky trip. In the summer there are plenty of opportunities for walking, cycling, fishing or golf (a 7-minute drive away is a beautiful golf course). The chalet also has its own boat that you can rent to explore the lake.

Lovers of water sports can indulge themselves: the chalet has two kayaks and two sup boards for you to use freely. You can also swim in the lake that is directly in front of the door. The house is suitable for both young and old and offers the perfect blend of luxury, nature and comfort. You can also rent a Pioner 15 motorboat with 25hp. The boat is available from 1st may until 15th of october. Due to weather conditions this can change.

You can charge your electric car in front of the house with a private charging point. A supermarket is a 10-minute drive away, along with some restaurants. Everything is right at your fingertips!

Route by plane

There are several airports near Vrådal where the lakehouse is located. After arrival at the airport you simply rent a car for the drive to the house (Tip: rent an electric car, this is often cheaper and you can recharge at the house!). Depending on your flight, you can choose from the following options:

  • Via Oslo Airport (OSL) Approximately 3 hours drive to the lakehouse.
  • Via Sandefjord Airport (TRF). Approximately 2.5 hours drive to the lakehouse.
  • Via Kristiansand Airport (KRS) Approximately 2.5 hours drive to the lakehouse.

How many people does Lakehouse Moss sleep?
Lakehouse Moss sleeps 8 people. There are four bedrooms, four bathrooms and a separate toilet. Together with Lakehouse Cedar, the other house on the peninsula, you can stay with a group of 16.
What beds are there?
On the ground floor there is a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with a loft bed with a small double bed underneath. On the first floor there is a bedroom with a king-size bed and a bedroom with two single beds.
What are the bathrooms like?
Every bedroom has its own bathroom with a shower, toilet and washbasin. On the ground floor, the bathroom of the bedroom with the king-size bed also has a bath.
What are the check-in and check-out times, and how do I get in?
Check-in is from 16:00, check-out is by 11:00. The house has a digital lock. The minimum number of nights varies by season; you will see it as soon as you choose your dates.
Does Lakehouse Moss have a sauna or jacuzzi?
Yes. There is a jacuzzi with bubbles and a separate sauna cabin, both overlooking the lake. The sauna is electric.
Can I bring my dog to Lakehouse Moss?
Yes, dogs are welcome at Lakehouse Moss. There is a surcharge of €25 per day; please let us know when you book.
Is the house suitable for children and babies?
Yes. A travel cot and a high chair are available.
How far is the water and what is there to do?
The lakehouse sits right on the lake, with its own beach and jetty. Two canoes and two SUP boards are free to use. From 1 May to 15 October you can rent a motorboat (Pioner 15, 25 hp) for an extra charge. The ski area and the golf course are both a 7-minute drive. How far are the supermarket and restaurants?
A supermarket is a 10-minute drive away. There is a restaurant in the village and one at the golf course.
How do I get to Lakehouse Moss?
You will need a car. From Sandefjord (TRF) or Kristiansand (KRS) it is about a 2.5-hour drive, from Oslo (OSL) about 3 hours. Parking at the house is free, and there is a charging point for electric cars. Charging is not free; you pay directly by scanning the QR code at the charging point.
Is the house easy to reach in winter?
Yes. We make sure the house is easy to reach when there is snow. If it has snowed very heavily overnight, we cannot always clear the road that same morning.
Is there wifi?
Yes, there is free wifi.
Is there a dishwasher, washing machine and fireplace?
Yes, there is a dishwasher, a washing machine, a dryer and a fireplace. Firewood for the fireplace is provided and included in the price.
Can I smoke or have a party?
No, smoking and parties are not allowed at Lakehouse Moss.
Do I have to pay a deposit?
No, we do not ask for a deposit.
Are bed linen and final cleaning included?
No. Bed linen and final cleaning are mandatory and come on top of the rental price. Bed linen costs €27 per person per stay. Cleaning costs differ per house; you will see the amount in the price quote before you book.
What is in the welcome pack?
On arrival there is a large and a small towel for each guest, plus a tea towel, a drying cloth and a microfibre cloth, toilet paper, a dish brush, washing-up liquid, a few dishwasher tablets and matches. For hygiene reasons there is no pepper, salt or other spices. Groceries are not included; we can arrange them for you as an extra service. Firewood for the fireplace is provided and included in the price.
