A place of their own in Scandinavia, surrounded by nature and with a beautiful view. For Rutger and Sophie, it had been a dream for years that they wanted to make come true together with their two daughters. Three years ago they decided to take the plunge. Their search began in Sweden, but eventually brought them to Vrådal. The peace, the space, the beautiful nature and the view over Fiskebekk made them decide to build Villa Hygge here. It has since become a cosy second home, where they love spending time as a family and which they proudly share with others.

With a young family and busy jobs, it was soon clear that they did not want to handle the rental themselves. At the same time, they did want to stay involved with their home. So they looked for a reliable partner who could take the work off their hands, but who also had an eye for personal attention and detail. They found that combination at By Kiki.

Renting out a home that so much love and care has gone into is, of course, always a little nerve-racking. Is everything in place? What will guests think of it? During the preparation and start-up, Rutger and Sophie were well supported in this. Among other things, we put them in touch with an interior stylist and helped with practical checklists and clear explanations of the rental process. As a result, the start-up went smoothly and a lot of work was taken off their hands, even from a distance.

What makes the collaboration especially pleasant for them is the personal contact. From the very first moment they felt welcome, and they can always get in touch with questions or simply for a friendly chat. “Above all, we value By Kiki's openness and honesty. It gives them a good feeling to know they can leave the rental to us with peace of mind.

And so Villa Hygge remains exactly what it was always meant to be for them: a place to enjoy together all the beauty that Norway has to offer.
